The deceased student was a resident of Andhra Pradesh.
According to the information, the injured student has been identified in IIT as a third year student of BS Mathematics and Computer Science, Rahul Laveri.
Student Rahul is a resident of Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh. There has been an uproar in the college after the incident. After receiving information about the incident, the entire faculty, including the local police team and the IIT director, reached the spot.
The student was stressed.
According to the information received, Rahul Lavari, a student jumping from the roof of a building located in the IIT Patna campus on Tuesday, was under stress for the last few days. He was studying there in the third year in the Department of Computer and Mathematics.
Rahul cut the vein of his hand before jumping from the roof of the building. He then went to the roof and jumped down. As soon as the students jumped down, there was chaos at the scene.
The student breathed his last in the hospital.
Local people admitted him to a private hospital in Bihta for immediate treatment. The student breathed his last during treatment. The IIT administration has not yet said anything clear about the incident.
An official of the IIT police station said that it has been reported from the campus that a student has committed suicide. Kumar confirmed the student’s death and said that the police was investigating the case.
