Indore (Madhya Pradesh): An Air India Express flight had to make an emergency landing at Indore’s Devi Ahilkya Bai Holkar Airport on Monday due to heavy fog in Lucknow.
The flight, IX 2815, was traveling from Hyderabad to Lucknow but could not land because of poor visibility caused by dense fog.
According to Indore airport officials, the flight departed from Hyderabad at 6:41 AM and was scheduled to land in Lucknow at 8:10 AM. However, after circling in the air for some time, the flight was diverted to Indore, where it landed safely at 10:18 AM. The plane had over 100 passengers on board.
The aircraft remained at Indore airport until the weather in Lucknow cleared. During this time, it was refueled and prepared for departure. The flight eventually left for Lucknow around 12 PM.
Air India Express started its Indore to Delhi flight on January 2. The launch had been delayed twice before.
Five flights departing from Indore were delayed today:
Indore to Delhi (IX2122): Scheduled at 6:55 AM, departed at 7:48 AM.
