A husband-wife duo in Hyderabad region was caught red-handed unpacking dozens of stolen shoes from nearby houses. The man, named Shankar, would regularly sneak into houses and temples to steal good-quality footwear and gather them at its residence in Uppal. Later, the couple would allegedly sell it to the street vendors in local markets to make money from the stolen shoes.
The bizarre theft incident surfaced online after a citizen reporter on suspicion visited the residence of the footwear robbers, unannounced, only to spot them racking up several shoes in their hall. The visuals recorded from the Hyderabad couple’s house showed many pairs of shoes spread out on the floor.
It was learned that these shoes were of different sizes and brands.

Resident raid over suspicion, find dozens of lost footwear
The locals stepped into Shankar’s house after observing their footwear regularly going missing. They figured out that somebody was stealing it on a regular basis from their homes.
On suspicion, when residents a colony at Uppal visited Shankar’s house, they were stunned to see the huge display of shoes. They recorded the incident on camera to catch Shankar and his wife red handed in the act.
Reports of couple selling stolen shoes to local market
While it was reported that the man would rob these footwear from houses and temples, the wife extended full support to her husband’s chores and assisted him in sorting and selling the items at a nearby market.
When the resident entered Shankar’s house and saw the lady unpacking a sack of shoes and piling them up on the floor, they learned that she was a partner in crime. The video recorded her speaking for her husband and trying to justify his acts.

When the person mentioned to her about recording the incident on camera and reporting it, she didn’t fear or step back. He pointed out in the video that one of the shoes piled up in the hall was that of his kid.
