Mumbai: In a grand celebration of academic excellence, HSNC University, Mumbai organised its much-anticipated Degree Distribution Ceremony at the Hiro Sitaldas Convocation Hall at the University’s Worli campus in Mumbai on 1st February 2025.
The ceremony was graced by Vice Chancellor Col. Dr. Hemlata K. Bagla; Dr. Kishu Mansukhani, Trustee & Immediate Past President, HSNC Board; Mr. Shyam Chellaram; Mr. Vandan Agarwal; Dr. Bhagwan Balani, Registrar, HSNC University and Dr. Jayesh Joglekar, Director, Board of Examination & Evaluation.
The event was also attended by Deans, Principals, Faculty, University officials, students and their proud families. A total of 120 freshly-minted graduates received their degrees across various disciplines, including Arts, Humanities, Commerce, Science, Management, Performing Arts, Yoga and Law.
The ceremony was not just a moment of celebration for the graduates but also a testament to the institution’s commitment to providing high-quality education and nurturing the leaders of tomorrow.
The ceremony was opened with a welcome address by Dr. Leena Pujari, Dean, Inter-disciplinary Studies, who congratulated the graduates for their hard work and wished them good luck for their future endeavours.
In her Special Address, Col. Dr. Hemlata K. Bagla expressed his pride in the students’ accomplishments and the University’s role in shaping their futures.She acknowledged the hard work and resilience demonstrated by the students during their academic journey, noting that HSNC University has equipped them with both knowledge and essential life skills. She encouraged them to use their education to not only pursue personal success but to contribute positively to society. “Trust in yourself and always be open to learning,” she urged students.

Dr. Bagla also expressed her gratitude to the staff and faculty members for their unwavering commitment to the students’ success. “The faculty and educators not only imparted knowledge but also inspired students to think critically, challenge the status quo and develop a strong sense of responsibility,” Dr. Bagla acknowledged. She thanked the staff for their hard work and dedication, acknowledging their crucial role in shaping the future of each graduate and in the University’s success.“This achievement is not just the result of your hard work, but also the collective effort of the incredible educators and support staff who have been there every step of the way,” she said.
She concluded her speech by announcing the formation and registration of an official Alumni Association for HSNC University students. Dr. Bagla also announced that the first Alumni Meet of HSNC University is scheduled to take place on Saturday 22nd March 2025 and looked forward to seeing the students there in large numbers.
Her speech resonated deeply with the students, motivating them to reflect on the invaluable learning experiences they had gained during their time at the University. The message was clear: the journey of education does not end with the conferral of a degree; rather, it marks the beginning of a lifetime of learning and growth.
In his speech,Dr. Kishu Mansukhani, Trustee, HSNC Board, emphasised the institution’s unwavering focus on not only academic excellence but also character building, which he believes plays a pivotal role in shaping responsible citizens. He lauded Dr. Bagla for her visionary leadership, efforts and outstanding contribution which have brought immense success and glory to HSNC University in such a short span of time.
In his Special Address, Dr. Mansukhani told students “We live in a dynamic and fast-paced world. You are now equipped with the skills to innovate, lead and drive change. But it is your continuous curiosity and thirst for knowledge that will determine your success in the years to come”
