Khalist. terrorist arrested: Khalist. terrorist Arshdeep Dalla, an associate of Hardeep Singh Nijjar, was arrested by police in Canada after he was injured in an encounter with unidentified gunmen last month. Dalla was shot twice in a shooting in Halton on October 28. He was shot in his right bicep and was later admitted to hospital.
After the firing, when the police searched Dalla’s car and house, illegal weapons were found in his possession, after which he was arrested. Along with this, after the arrest of terrorist Arshdeep Dalla in Canada, his associate Gurjant Singh alias Junta has also been arrested.
Arshdeep Dalla told the police that
On October 28, Arshdeep Dalla and Gurjant Singh Junta were attacked by unknown people. Investigating agencies said Arshdeep claimed that an unknown vehicle was following him and accidentally fired at his vehicle. Police said two shells were also recovered from the car during the search, indicating that Dalla and the junta had also retaliated. Apart from this, bullet marks were found on the driver’s side and front window of the SUV.
A day after the incident, police searched his home and found a Taurus 9 mm handgun in his possession, which was loaded in a backpack. Police also recovered a rifle, a handgun and two high-capacity magazines from the safe. One magazine was capable of holding 15 bullets, while the other gun was capable of holding 35 bullets.
Case registered under UAPA
Sources in Indian security agencies said that 28 year old Dalla lives in Surrey, Canada with his wife. He is allegedly involved in several cases of extortion, murder and other terrorist activities and has been booked under UAPA. A lookout circular has been issued against him by Punjab Police.
In a Facebook post, Dalla claimed responsibility for the murder of Paramjit Singh, an electrician from Jagraon, Punjab. In November 2020, Dera Sacha Sauda follower Manohar Lal was shot dead by his associates. He was also involved in the conspiracy to kidnap and murder Shakti Singh, another follower of Dera Sacha Sauda.
