1. A dedicated study space trains your brain to connect that space with learning. Make sure your study area is quiet, well-lit, and not associated with distractions such as a television or a bed.
2. Chunk your study sessions into small goals. Another way is by planning both your daily and weekly tasks, if you used a planner or a study app that also allows you to track your progress, this would keep everything in check for you.
3. Use the Pomodoro method — 25-50 minutes of studying followed by 5-10 minute breaks. That amplifies concentration and avoids burnout without sacrificing productivity.
4. Get social media notifications switched off and use website blockers or “Do No Disturb” mode on your phone to prevent mindless distractions during study time.
5. Long sitting hours can bring down the concentration power. Use your breaks to stretch, walk, or do quick physical activities to refresh your mind and prevent fatigue.
6. Instead of passively reading, engage in self-quizzing, mind mapping, or teaching back concepts to yourself. This also increases understanding and retention.
7. Sleep deprivation harms memory and focus. Take 7-8 hours of quality sleep and never lose your study consistency.
8. Stay hydrated, and indulge in nuts, fruits, and dark chocolate to refocus and sharpen the mind.
