Hotelier Held For Supplying Drugs To Customers In Indore; MD Drugs Worth ₹5.85 Lakh Recovered |
Indore (Madhya Pradesh): A hotelier was arrested for allegedly supplying MD drugs to some of his customers from his hotel The Dezire in Mangal Nagar. MD drugs worth Rs 5.85 lakh were recovered from his possession and the crime branch is questioning him for his source of drugs.
DCP (crime) Rajesh Kumar Tripathi said that information was received that Abhishek Chourasia, a resident of Khandwa Road supplies the drugs from his hotel in Mangal Nagar that comes under Tilak Nagar police station jurisdiction and he also supplies the drugs to some of his customers. Police reached his hotel and caught him.
Chourasia allegedly informed the crime branch that he also runs Hotel Chandragupt on MR-10 and Hotel Sai Palace near Bengali Square. He is a drug addict and he allegedly confessed to selling drugs to the people. More than 51 grams of MD drugs were recovered from him. He was booked under section 8/22 of the NDPS act and further investigation is on. Four different cases were registered against the accused in the city.
Man arrested with MD drugs worth Rs 3 lakh
Another crime branch team arrested a man and recovered MD drugs worth Rs 3 lakh from his possession. According to DCP Tripathi, acting on a tip-off, a man named Saleem Rehman, a resident of Juni Indore area of the city was arrested.
During a search, over 20 grams of MD drugs were recovered from his possession. The accused allegedly confessed to buying the drugs from some people at a low price and selling the drugs at a higher price to fulfil his need for drugs. His scooter was also seized by the crime branch and investigation is on to know the role of other people indulged in drug supply in the city.
