Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh): As many as seven people died after a head-on collision between a speeding truck and a traveller bus in the outskirts of Jabalpur on Nagpur-Prayagraj National Highway on Tuesday. The traveller was crushed after it got stuck between the truck and the railing of the road, killing seven on the spot and leaving several trapped.
Another car coming from the front collided with both the vehicles; however, they were all safe. Police, along with the villagers, are engaged in the rescue.
The incident took place on Tuesday morning around 9 am near the village of Bargi, 50 km from Jabalpur.

According to the information, a truck loaded with cement was on its way from Jabalpur to Katni. The truck was moving on the wrong side; it collided with the traveller while overtaking. The bonnet of the traveller got stuck under the truck, leading to the tragic accident.
At the same time, another white car coming from the front also rammed into the collided vehicles. Fortunately, airbags saved all the car passengers. The passengers in the car are residents of Hyderabad, who were returning from Prayagraj. So far, the police have recovered 7 bodies from the spot. The death toll is expected to increase further.
The deceased have not been identified yet. The cops are trying to confirm their identities.
