Bhadra Dosha on Holika Dahan 2025: Holika Dahan is considered an important festival in Hinduism. Which is considered a symbol of the victory of truth over untruth. This festival is celebrated on the full moon of Phalgun month. And the next day the festival of colors Dhuleti is celebrated. Holika Dahan will be celebrated on 13 March in the year 2025. However, due to Bhadra Dosha this year, the auspicious time will be only 1 hour and 4 minutes, which will be in the midnight.
Bhadra is considered inauspicious in the scriptures.
In astrology, Bhadra is considered inauspicious. No auspicious work is done during Bhadra period. Because, difficulties may be found in the work done during this period. Otherwise the work done during this period is not successful. Therefore, combustion is forbidden in Bhadra period, because it has a negative effect.
Holika Dahan’s auspicious time in 2025
In the year 2025, the full moon of Phalgun month will start on 13 March at 10.35 am. It will conclude on March 14 at 12.23 pm. During this time, Bhadra period will remain on 13 March till 6.28 pm. Therefore, the auspicious time of Holika Dahan will be from 11.26 am to 12.30 pm on 13 March. Which will take a total of 1 hour and 4 minutes.

Location Selection:
First of all, it is very important to select the right place for Holika Dahan. Choose a place that is clean and there are no flammable objects around.
Holika installation:
Arrange dried dung and wood at the selected place and place idols of Holika and Prahlad made of cow dung on them.
Worship material:
Collect kanku, rice, flowers, coconut, jaggery, raw thread, turmeric, fenugreek, new crop (such as wheat earrings), water utensils etc.
Pooja rituals:
- First of all remember Lord Ganesha and offer Kanku-Axhat.
- Offer kumkum, rice and flowers on the idols of Holika and Prahlad.
- Wrap the raw thread around Holika three or seven times.
- Offer coconut, jaggery, sweets, new crops etc. in Holika.
- Offer water and pray for Holika Dahan.
