BJP called it an anti -Hindu decision
BJP MLA from Goshamahal T Raja Singh targeted the Congress -led government in Telangana. He said that since the formation of the Congress government in Telangana, Hindu temples are under attack and efforts are being made to ban Hindu festivals. He has criticized the ban on Holi celebrations and described the government as biased towards Hindus.
Earlier, the Telangana government had banned immersion of idols of Lord Ganesha in Hyderabad Lake and also issued guidelines to ban the Diwali function. Raja Singh argued that despite a large crowd of people during Ramadan and late night activities, such restrictions were not imposed.
Compare the Chief Minister to the Nizam
Raja Singh accused the Congress -led government and Chief Minister Revanth Reddy of being anti -Hindu and compared him to the Nizam. The BJP MLA said that the Congress is trying to say the same thing today and the Chief Minister of our Telangana state is saying that I am not the eighth but the ninth Nizam because the eighth Nizam was KCR (former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao). He said that the Nizam’s habit was to torture Hindus, his job was to ban Hindu festivals.
