Ramson village of Gujarat
There is a place called Ramson in Gujarat where Holi festival has not been celebrated for 200 years. It is believed that this village was named after Lord Rama, because Shri Ram came here during his exile. There are two major reasons for not celebrating Holi. 200 years ago, when Holika Dahan was taking place in the village, suddenly the fire spread and many houses were burnt to ashes. After this, people stopped celebrating Holi. It is also believed that the sages and sages cursed this village that if Holika was burnt here, the whole village will be burnt to ashes. Durgapur
