On the occasion of Eid-al-Fitr, numerous cities across India showcased a harmonious blend of the Hindu and Muslim cultural traditions, as people from both communities came together to celebrate the festival with unity and joy.

In Rajasthan’s Jaipur, the atmosphere was filled with warmth, as flowers were showered on Muslims after they offered their prayers at the Jama Masjid and Idgah.

As per a report by The Lallantop, Chief Qazi Khalid Usmani led the prayers, and the gesture of showering flowers was planned by members of the local Hindu community. After the prayers, people embraced one another and exchanged Eid greetings.

A similar sight was witnessed in Prayagraj, where social organisations and Hindu community members showered rose petals on those exiting the mosques after offering their Namaz.

Several kilos of rose petals were used, and each Namazi was greeted with a rose. Raziya Sultan, present at the event, remarked that Prayagraj has always been a city that promotes the “Ganga-Jamuni Tehzeeb.”

In Hardoi district’s Sandi town, Hindus showered flowers on Muslims participating in the Eid procession, in the presence of Municipal Council President Ramji Gupta. Videos from Seelampur, Delhi, also surfaced on social media, showing Hindus showering flowers on Namazis.

The tradition continued in Varanasi and Sambhal as well, where Hindus greeted the Namazis with flowers as they returned from mosques after offering their prayers.
