In June 2024, Hina Khan was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer. The actress underwent a surgery and even her chemotherapy is done. However, she is still recovering and not 100% fine. Recently, in an interview with Pinkvilla, Hina opened up about her illness and how her mother gets emotional while praying Namaz.
During the interview, when Hina was told about how Manisha Koirala knew that her parents cried at night secretly in their room, the Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai actress said that her mother cries in the balcony. She said, “For my mother that place is balcony. She shuts the sliding door, she sits out (Balcony) and she cries.”
Hina Khan’s Mother Cries A Lot During Namaz
The 37-year-old further stated, “Kabhi kabhi mere saamne bhi ro deti hai, but apart from that Namaz mein bahot roti hai. There are times when there’s pain, but I keep my face calm. But, there are times when you have let it out and shout. So, that time she cries. We can’t do anything about it. But, she has been very strong and the way she has held herself throughout, I am so proud of her.”
Hina Reveals Her Father Couldn’t Have Seen Her In Pain
Hina’s father passed away due to cardiac arrest in April 2021. While talking about how her father would have reacted to her illness, the actress said, “My father was very soft heartened. When Covid was there, our neighbour had got it, so he was like ‘Oh my god, now what to do? Even we will get Covid’. But, my mother is very headstrong. Sometimes me and my mother talk that if he would have been here, how he would have handled it? He used to treat me like a queen. Mere papa nahi dekh pate. We often talk that kya hota agar woh hote toh. It is better that he has not seen me like this.”
When she was asked if she feels the presence of her father, Hina said, “Many times. I have visualized him around me. Sometimes I talk to him when there’s no one in the room. I visualize him at the places that he used to sit.”
A few days ago, Hina visited Mecca and performed Umrah. She had posted videos and pictures from. Her fans have been praying for her speedy recovery.
