Security has been tightened on major religious places like Ayodhya, Kashi and Mathura in the state as well as tourist centers, railway stations, bus stations, airports etc. The DGP has directed to increase police patrolling and monitor suspects in crowded areas. Apart from this, vigilance has also been increased on the Nepal border. Senior police officers have been instructed to patrol on foot with the police force and monitor sensitive areas.
Condemnation of political leaders: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath condemned the attack and described it as condemnable. He expressed his condolences to the families of the deceased. Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav also strongly condemned the attack and demanded the central government to take concrete steps to protect the countrymen.
Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee President Ajay Rai also strongly condemned the incident and said that the whole country is united against terrorism. Unnao MP Sakshi Maharaj demanded immediate strict action against the terrorists and said that the government will take action soon.
The horrors of the attack: 26 people were killed in this attack on Tuesday, including two foreign nationals. A newly married businessman from Kanpur was also shot dead. The terrorists identified Hindus during the attack and shot them. After the incident, a search operation is being carried out to search for terrorists.
