Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Beneficiaries who are already moving from pillar to post for years to get house under PM-Housing For All (HFA) will have to wait for 6 months to one year more.
The Mayori-in-Council (MiC) has extended deadline from 6 months to 1 year for completion of projects under HFA. MiC meeting was held on Friday.
Dozens of projects under HFA are pending in Bhopal. According to BMC administration, HFA projects are underway at Bagmugalia, 12 Number bus stop, Ganga Nagar, Shyam Nagar, Kalkheda, Neelbad, Bairagarh, Hinotiya Alam, Kokta (Yatayat Nagar), Bhanpur, Malikhedi, Rahul Nagar ( Mata Mandir).
MiC member Manoj Rathore said MiC extended deadline for completion of projects under HFA. Many projects are under constructions at different places. Keeping in view this situation, MiC extended the deadline for completion.
Recently, beneficiaries who had taken bank loan for the houses under the project but were not allotted accommodation had staged protest at ISBT against its lethargic attitude.
The families continue to live at rented accommodation and are even paying EMIs for the house that has not been allotted. While the construction remains incomplete, other civil work, electrical installation, and lift work also need to be completed.
