Henley Passport Index 2025: Passports are necessary to enable freedom of travel, which has become an important property for people in today’s more interconnected world. Countries with strong passports usually have more diplomatic relations, making it easier for their citizens to go abroad, while countries with weak passports often face major obstacles that limit their possibilities for international mobility and participation.
According to the Henley Passport Index 2025, Singapore still has the title of being the strongest passport in the world, which gives its holders a visa-free entry into 195 countries. With access to 193 places, Japan ranks second, which has effectively restored the visa-free journey after the Kovid-19 epidemic.
Except for Australia, the United States and Canada, most ten countries in the top ten have control over European countries. Meanwhile, the passport of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) is remarkable as it has reached 72 more places since 2015, making it to 10th position worldwide and is providing a visa-free journey up to 185 destinations by 2025.
