First Hemant Soren submitted his resignation from the post of Chief Minister to Governor Santosh Gangwar and then submitted the letter of support from the MLAs claiming to form the government.
A day after winning 56 out of 81 seats in the Jharkhand Assembly elections, a meeting of India Block was held under the chairmanship of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha working president Hemant Soren on Sunday. After meeting the Governor, Hemant Soren said that today the process of forming a new government has been started by the Grand Alliance. He said that we have resigned from the present government and submitted an application and claim to the Governor for the formation of the next government.
He said that the Governor has entrusted him with the responsibility of acting Chief Minister and has also invited him to form the government. In this sequence, Congress in-charge, RJD and Left party in-charge also remained together. He said that November 28 has been fixed as the day for the swearing-in ceremony.
