During the last 24 hours in many districts of the state, including Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand, tremendous rains have greatly affected life. Due to rain, the weather has increased once again, due to which people have started to feel the need for warm clothes again. The special thing is that this rain did not come suddenly, but the Meteorological Department had already indicated it.
The weather patterns will not change on Saturday too
According to the Meteorological Department, a similar weather will remain in many areas of Jharkhand on Saturday. Orange alert has been issued in view of the possibility of heavy rains and thunderstorms. This means that even in the coming time people need to be cautious and careful, especially in areas where strong winds are expected to blow.
Science behind rain
Scientist Abhishek Anand, working at the Meteorological Center in Ranchi, said that there is a cyclonic trough over Jharkhand. This trough is a type of low pressure area, which affects the direction and speed of the winds. For this reason, Jharkhand is raining continuously. Also, the cyclonic circulation active in the Bay of Bengal has also increased the intensity of rain. Due to this seasonal system, strong winds can reach a speed of 50–60 kmph, which can make the road travel even more dangerous.
Orange alert released in these districts
The Meteorological Department has advised to take special vigilance in many districts of the state. Districts where Orange Alerts have been issued include:
- Seraikela-Kharsawan
- Bokaro
- Dhanbad
- Ranchi
- Peg
- Simdega
- East Singhbhum
- West Singhbhum
In view of the possibility of heavy rains and lightning in these areas, people have been advised not to get out of the house unnecessarily. Also, the administration is also on alert mode in these areas.
Temperature condition
Along with the rain, the temperature has also dropped. In many districts, the maximum temperature of the day reached 28 ° C, while the minimum night temperature was between 15–16 ° C. See district wise temperature below:
District | Maximum temperature | Minimum temperature |
---|---|---|
Deoghar, Dhanbad, Giridih, Godda | 28 ° C | 16 ° C |
Ranchi, Peg, Gumla | 28 ° C | 16 ° C |
Singhbhum, Simdega | 27 ° C | 15 ° C |
Be careful in road trip
Due to heavy rains and strong winds, slippery on the roads has increased. Especially the problem of mud and water logging in rural areas has troubled people a lot. In such a situation, people who are planning to travel are very important to follow some precautions:
- Keep the speed of the vehicle slow
- Keep the required documents and mobile charge
- Stop in safe and high places
- Better if you can avoid travel
The Meteorological Department recommends to avoid unnecessary travel and leave the house as required.
People need to be alert
Life can be affected due to heavy rains in Jharkhand. At present in schools, colleges and offices, attendance is less seen. Complaints of power failure have also come from many areas. In such a situation, it is important that people keep an eye on the information of the Meteorological Department from time to time and follow the advice of the local administration.
