Jhansi hospital fire: A massive fire broke out in the infant ward (SNCU) of Mahar. Lakshmibai Medical College, Jhansi, at around 10 pm on Friday night. 10 newborn babies got burnt in the accident. Their bodies have been taken out from the grave. After the fire incident, 37 children were taken out safely by breaking the windows, who are undergoing treatment. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has also come into action on Jhansi fire incident, Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak, sent to the incident site, said that the culprits will not be spared. CM Yogi has asked for investigation report from the Commissioner and DIG within 12 hours.

10 innocent people lost their lives in the fire that broke out in Jhansi Medical College last night. A fire broke out in the children’s ICU of the medical college. There were 55 children in NICU at the time of the accident, out of which 37 were evacuated safely. It is being told that all the children were rescued from the outer ward. But the children present in the inner ward died due to burning. After the fire incident, a crowd of family members has gathered outside the hospital and the families of the children who lost their lives are mourning. Expressing her pain, a mother who lost her 7-month-old child in an accident has said that after the fire, she also ran to save her child, but by then it was too late.
According to the police, 16 children have been admitted to the medical college after the fire incident. 7 children have been admitted to a private hospital. The incident occurred around 10.30 pm. The fire started due to sparking in the oxygen concentrator. Immediately after the accident, CM Yogi held a high level meeting. He ordered the Commissioner and DIG to submit their report within 12 hours.
