Dr. Desai said that Oats is a healthy option for breakfast, but the consumption of superfood oats does not give equal benefits to everyone. Dr. Desai says that superfood oats are known for their high fiber and heart health benefits. However, not everyone can consume this superfood.

Who should not eat oats:

Oat allergies can affect both children and adults. Symptoms of allergy to oats include urticaria, gastrointestinal and respiratory problems. Therefore, people who are allergic to oats should avoid consuming products made of oats.

Oats are abundant soluble fiber, which helps reduce cholesterol and control blood sugar levels. However, oats are high in fiber and it can cause problems for people suffering from irritable bowl syndrome (IBS). This can cause flatulence, gas and stomach discomfort.

Oats contain phytic acid, an antitrific that reduces their absorption by the body by bound to essential minerals such as calcium, iron and zinc. Although it is not harmful to healthy people, people who lack minerals or those who eat mainly oats should eat limited amounts of oats.

Oats are high in phosphorus, which can be harmful to kidney, so people suffering from kidney disease should avoid eating oats.
