The stock markets saw a decline in shares of Hindustan Construction Company (HCC) amidst the ups and downs in the stock market. HCC shares fell 2.23% to close at Rs 24.60 on Thursday. The stock fell to the 52-week minimum level of Rs 21.98 in March 2025, while in July 2024 it reached the highest level of Rs 57.46.
HCC and Tata projects contract for Rs 2470 crore
HCC and Tata Projects Limited have obtained a contract for a pump storage project of Rs 2470 crore in Maharashtra under 50:50 joint venture. This contract is given by Tata Power.
- The project is for the construction of a 1,000 MW capacity Bhiwpuri off-Stream Open Loop Pump Storage Project (PSP) in Karjat, Maharashtra.
- The joint venture will have to complete the construction work and other supporting works related to this project.
Tata Power expands in solar energy sector
Tata Power announced that it had set up more than 1.5 lakh solar rooftops (solar units) across the country. Due to this, the total solar energy capacity has reached about three gigawatts.
- The project is part of PM Surya Ghar Ghar Free Power Scheme and other private and government projects.
- These solar units have been deployed in more than 300 cities of the country.
On Thursday, Tata Power’s stock fell 0.38% to close at Rs 370.20. However, the company’s growing solar power projects and new contracts may strengthen its performance in the future.
