Famous Bollywood actor Boman Irani is celebrating his 65th birthday today. Born in a Parsi family of Mumbai, Boman Irani has made a distinct identity for himself in the film industry. He is an actor, producer, filmmaker, photographer and veteran artist. He started acting at the age of 42 and has established himself as a multi-talented actor by playing every role brilliantly.

The 2003 film ‘Munnabhai MBBS’ gave him real recognition.

Boman Irani made his Bollywood debut in 2001 with ‘Everybody Says I’m Fine’ and has shown a wonderful balance of humor and depth in every role. However, he got his real recognition from the 2003 film ‘Munnabhai MBBS’.

Played the role of villain in films like ‘Don’ with his brilliant acting.

 

After this, he played the role of a villain with his brilliant acting in films like ‘Don’ and proved that he can play every role very well. But Boman Irani was not limited to Bollywood only, he also made his mark in Marathi, Telugu and Tamil films.

Before coming into films, Boman was a photographer

Before entering films, Boman was a photographer. Once he did a photoshoot for Anupama Chopra, wife of famous filmmaker Vidhu Vinod Chopra. Impressed by his photography, Vidhu Vinod Chopra suggested him to pursue a career in acting. This was the turning point that inspired Boman to move towards Bollywood.

Boman Irani revealed in an interview that before auditioning for “Munnabhai MBBS”, he read the script several times and tried to portray himself as Doctor Asthana. Boman Irani is still remembered for his “Laughing Therapy” scene in the film and he drastically changed his voice for the role of ‘Virus’ in the film “Three Idiots” (2009). To make his character look realistic, he spent several days wearing prosthetic make-up and worked on his speaking style. His hard work gave life to the film and his ‘Virus Speech’ is still a topic of discussion among the youth.
