Bettiah: A case of assault with a married woman has come to light in Mahuhwa village in Narkatiaganj in West Champaran district of Bihar. The in -laws brutally beat her up by the in -laws demanding dowry, causing her seriously injured.
The victim has been identified as Kusumtara, wife of Asadullah, a resident of Mahuva village of Shikarpur police station area, who was married to Asadullah about 13 months ago. It is alleged that since the marriage, the in -laws were constantly demanding dowry and assaulted.
Carryed and beaten in the house for three days
According to local people, the in -laws kept Kusumtara imprisoned in the house for three days and continued to beat her. When the neighbors got a glimpse of it, they informed the maternal uncle of Kusumtara.

The victim’s brother and uncle who reached the spot were heartbreaking. Kusumtara’s father -in -law was closing the door and beating him brutally. The victim’s uncle made a video of the incident, in which it can be clearly seen that the father -in -law pushes her out of the door and throws her.
Hospitalized for treatment
The seriously injured Kusumtara was admitted to Bettiah GMCH, where he is undergoing treatment.
