Preparations are underway for the funeral of two top Hezbollah leaders, Hassan Nasrallah and Hashim Saffiedine, killed in an Israeli strike in Lebanon, both of whom were killed in an IDF strike about two months ago.
Hezbollah leaders Hassan Nasrallah and Hashim Saffiedine were killed in an Israeli attack two months ago. But the group is now preparing for the last rites of these two leaders.
Israel attacked the underground Hezbollah headquarters in Lebanon’s capital Beirut with a bunker buster bomb.
The funeral will take place after 2 months
About a week after this attack, Nasrallah’s alleged successor Hashim Safeddin was also killed in another attack by the Israeli army. Almost two months after the death of these two leaders, Hezbollah is preparing for their public funeral.
Why was the funeral delayed?
In fact, from September 23, Israel declared ‘complete war’ in Lebanon and started attacks. A few days later the Israeli army started ground action. Meanwhile, the Israeli army was continuously bombing South Lebanon including Beirut. Because of this, the last rites of Hezbollah leaders Nasrallah and Hashim Safideen could not be performed.
According to sources, he was temporarily buried in a secret location because Hezbollah feared that Israeli forces might target him if he had a public funeral.
Meanwhile, Hezbollah sources said that when the situation in the country improves a little, these senior leaders of the org.zation will be cremated publicly. Now that a ceasefire has been declared in Lebanon, Hezbollah has begun preparations for the funerals of Hassan Nasrallah and his alleged successor Hashim Saffiedine.
Hezbollah claimed victory
Mahmoud Kamati, deputy head of Hezbollah’s political council, said preparations were underway for the funerals of Nasrallah and Saffieddine. Kamati claimed that Lebanon’s Hezbollah resistance movement has succeeded in repelling the Jewish regime’s offensive not only from Lebanon but from across West Asia, Beirut-based Al-Mayadeen News Network reported.
Will you show strength through the last journey?
Kamati has claimed victory in the war that has been going on for two months continuously on Lebanese soil, saying that his victory is related to the national security of the Arab countries. He said Nasrallah and Saffiedine’s final visit would serve as a popular and political referendum in support of the resistance front. That means, after 2 months, Hezbollah will show its strength in Lebanon through the funeral of these two great leaders.
