The Meteorological Department has issued an alert regarding rain and fog in some districts of Haryana:
- moderate rain alert: Panchkula, Ambala, Yamunanagar, Kurukshetra, Karnal.
- possibility of light rain: In other districts.
- yellow haze alert: Hisar, Jind, Panipat, Sonipat, Karnal, Rohtak, Bhiwani, Rewari, Mahendragarh, Palwal and Charkhi Dadri.
Western disturbance will remain active till January 11
According to the Meteorological Department, a new western disturbance will become active again around January 10-11. Due to this, there is a possibility of rain in various parts of Haryana. Due to cold winds, further drop in day and night temperatures may be seen.

Director of Chandigarh Meteorological Department, Dr. Surendra Kumar said that at present there is no sign of relief from cold in Haryana. Fog and rain will continue in the state for the next few days.
Another western disturbance is likely to become active around January 10, which may further increase the impact of cold. Due to winds coming from hilly areas, further drop in temperature may be recorded in the next few days.
