Taking forward this sequence, the state government has now decided to develop integrated industrial township in 10 districts. These townships will be directly linked to the expressway and highway, which will give new strength to industrial activities.
Which districts have been included?
The Haryana government has included 10 strategically important districts in the scheme. These districts have been selected on the basis of major factors such as better infrastructure, expressways and proximity to airport, and availability of workers. The main districts are: Gurugram, Faridabad, Hisar, Sirsa, Bhiwani, Kaithal, Jind, Panipat, Narnaul and Ambala. These areas are already industrialized from industrial point of view and land and logistic support along with workers are also easily available here.
Direct benefits to investors
The Haryana government aims not only to create a township but also to develop them as smart connectivity and sector-special clusters. This will increase the Ease of Doing Business in the state.
Delhi-Katra Expressway
Sectors like automobile, textile and food processing will be promoted on the banks of this expressway. Gurugram, Kaithal and Jind districts will get direct benefit of this.
Narnaul-Ambala Highway
This highway will be favorable for small and medium industries. Packaging units, local manufacturing and transport-services will be given priority here.
Dabwali-Panipat Highway
Pharmaceutical, electronics and petrochemical sectors will be developed on this route, which will benefit districts like Sirsa, Hisar and Bhiwani.
Gurugram and Faridabad will be industrial centers
Gurugram will be developed for automobiles, electric vehicles and tech sectors at global level. Clusters based on smart city models will be made here.
Heavy machinery, industrial engineering and metal fabrication sector will be boosted in Faridabad. Jewar Airport will prove to be an additional advantage for the nearest investors.
Plan will be strong from logistics hub
These townships will be established near the airport, railway and metro network. Special zones will be created for aviation and aerospace industry around Hisar Airport. At the same time, better connectivity of Ambala and Narnaul with railway and highway will speed up transportation.
