Case Filed Against Haryana BJP Chief (left) and Singer Rocky Mittal (right)for Alleged Gang-Rape |

Chandigarh: Himachal Pradesh police has booked Haryana BJP chief Mohan Lal Badoli and singer Rocky Mittal on a woman’s allegation of being gang-raped by them in Kasauli town of Himachal Pradesh in 2023.

Stating that a case had been registered against Badoli and Rocky under 376 D (gang rape) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of IPC based on woman’s complaint, the Himachal Pradesh police said that while the statement of the victim had been recorded, the investigation in the case is in progress.

According to media reports, the complainant, who is also from Delhi, in the FIR which was registered on December 13, 2024, said that she along with her friend and Delhi-based employer had gone to Kasauli where they met the two accused named above and the incident occurred, on July 3, 2023.

The details of the FIR, however, surfaced on January 14, 2025.

Stating that Rocky alias Jai Bhagwan, offered her a role in his songs album and Badoli a government job, the complainant alleged that she was forced to consume alcohol before she was gang-raped by them. She also alleged that the accused took photographs, made videos and threatened to kill her if she disclosed the incident to anyone.

It may be recalled that while Badoli is state BJP chief, Rocky, who had sung several songs in praise of Narendra Modi and UP chief minister Yogi Adityanath, and who was chairman of a special publicity cell of Haryana government, had joined Congress ahead of 2024 state assembly elections.

The complainant also alleged that she was also called to Panchkula about two months ago to Rocky’s house where she was again threatened that she and her friends would be implicated in false criminal cases if she disclosed the incident to anybody.

While Badoli has rebuked the rape allegation against him and termed it as a “political conspiracy’’ and a sinister ploy to harm his reputation and political career, Rocky, who has demanded an inquiry by CBI, also trashed the charges as baseless and a conspiracy against him.
