Bollywood actor Harshvardhan Rane came out in Babil Khan’s support after a video showing him breaking down and calling Bollywood “fakest industry” went viral. The Sanam Teri Kasam actor advised Babil to stand his ground, and stay away from alcohol and “irritants”.
“Dear Babil Khan, you are blessed with God level genetics in acting, we need you to carry on the legacy! Please just give your best to the craft, and after that ‘stay away from events and after parties’ so as to avoid interaction with irritants (sic),” Harshvardhan wrote.

He further continued, “I am not from a film family, I have learnt that people wont treat you badly if you don’t allow them. You need to ‘stand your ground’ (sic).”
“Also pls ‘stay away from alcohol and any such stuff’, because to stand tall you will need strength, pls take care (sic),” he added.
Babil was all over the news on Sunday after he shared a video on Instagram, in which he was seen crying inconsolably and criticising Bollywood. “Bollywood is the most fakest industry that I have ever been a part of. But there are few people that want Bollywood to be better…I got to show to you so much more, so much more, so much more. I have so much more to give you…” he said in the video through tears.
Soon after, he deleted the video and also deactivated his social media handle. Later, his team issued an official statement on the fiasco which read, “Over the past few years, Babil Khan has earned immense love and appreciation for his work, as well as for his openness about his mental health journey. Like anyone else, Babil is allowed to have difficult days. and this was one of them. We want to reassure all his well-wishers that he is safe and will be feeling better soon.”
Ananya Panday, Raghav Juyal, Kubbra Sait, Siddhant Chaturvedi and others extended their support to Babil.
