Mumbai wicketkeeper Hardik Tamore slammed an unbeaten 132 off just 58 balls to lead Jain Irrigation to a five-wicket win over Nirlon in a high-scoring game in the 19th DY Patil T20 Cup at the DY Patil University Ground in Nerul on Saturday.
Tamore slammed 11 boundaries and 11 sixes in his knock as Jain Irrigation chased down Sirloin’s 219 for five with two overs to spare to finish on 222 for five.
In the other games India’s former Under-19 captain Priyam Garg starred in DY Patil Red’s thumping eight wicket win over Take Sports at the DY Patil Stadium in Nerul.
Batting first, Take Sports posted a modest 131 for nine in their 20 overs. In the chase Garg slammed an unbeaten 75 off 41 balls with nine boundaries and four sixes as DY Patil Red chased down the target in just 13 overs to finish 134 for two.
In the other games on the final day of the group games, DY Patil Blue went down to CGST by 15 runs at the Stadium. Arjun Tendulkar’s brilliant spell of three for 34 went in vain for Blue.
Meanwhile at the University Ground, CAG beat Mumbai Customs by 21 runs thanks to skipper J Suchith’s brilliant spell of four for 28.
