Why won’t Hardik play the first match?
Mumbai Indians captain Hardik Pandya has been banned for slow over rate. If a slow over rate is observed 3 times in an IPL season, the team captain is banned for 1 match. According to the IPL Code of Conduct, if a team commits the offense of slow over for the first time, then a fine of Rs 12 lakh is imposed on the captain. If he does this for the second time, he imposes a fine of Rs 24 lakh on the team captain and 25 percent of the match fee on the remaining players.
