The highlight of Day 2 of the India vs Australia Test in Adelaide was the exchange between Mohammed Siraj and Travis Head. Siraj was hit for a six by Head but then bowled him out on the very next ball.
After taking the wicket, Siraj celebrated passionately, which seemed to upset Head. The two exchanged a few words, and Siraj responded with an animated gesture. The incident quickly went viral on social media.
Ahead of Day 3, Siraj explained what happened between him and Head. Harbhajan Singh, who was presenting for Star Sports, joked with Siraj, who was recently appointed as the Deputy Superintendent of Police in his home state of Telangana.
Harbhajan jokingly told Siraj “DSP saab, jab yeh (Head) dubara Hyderabad aye na, toh usko zara giraftaar kar lena (when he comes to Hyderabad to play in the IPL, try and arrest him),” . He added”I am just joking. I wish you all the best,”. Travis Head plays for the Hyderabad-based SRH in the IPL and was retained for ₹14 crore ahead of the 2025 auction.
