Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Harassed by his wife and in-laws, a 25-year-old youth hanged himself on Friday night under Ashoka Garden police station. The youth updated his WhatsApp status with a noose around his neck before taking the extreme step. Alleging harassment by his wife, the youth’s family has demanded action against her. Further investigations were underway in this connection, police officials said.
According to reports, Industrial Area resident Abhishek Bachle (25) was a truck driver. His father Maruti Bachle said that Abhishek returned home on Friday from work and seemed normal. On Friday night, the family spotted him hanging from the ceiling in his room.
His kin then saw his WhatsApp status in which Abhishek was seen with a noose around his neck. In the video uploaded in his status, Abhishek apologised to his family saying that he has committed a big mistake. He said that his wife Kajal, her parents and siblings were responsible for his suicide as they have ruined his life.
Abhishek’s family members informed that he had a love marriage around four years ago. However, the couple soon had differences and Kajal lodged an FIR against Abhishek at Woman Police Station. Kajal started living with her parents and Abhishek became suspicious of her character. Despite differences, Abhishek wanted to continue the relationship but his wife and in-laws were harassing him. Hemant Srivastava, TI at Ashoka Garden police station said that the mobile phone of Abhishek is being examined. Further action will be taken after recording statements of his kin, he added.
