Why did Hanuman ji take Panchmukhi avatar?
During the Rama-Ravana war, when Ravana’s army was moving towards defeat, he called his elusive and tantric powers who were skilled brother Ahiravan. Ahiravan put Lord Rama, Lakshmana and Vanar Sena in deep sleep and kidnapped Ram-Lakshmana and took him to Hades.
Ahiravan was a boon that no one could defeat him until the five lamps burning in the five directions of the Hades. Hanuman ji took a panchmukhi form to save his worship and extinguished the five lamps together and ended Ahiravana. After this Ram and Lakshman were freed.
Five forms of Panchmukhi Hanuman ji
- Apes – This is the original face of Hanuman ji, which is a symbol of destruction and courage of enemies.
- Garuda mouth (west direction) – It protects against the obstacles and poison in life, especially helpful in the prevention of Nag Dosha.
- Varaha Mukhi (North direction) – It increases age, fame and fame. This form is related to the Varaha avatar of Lord Vishnu.
- Narsingh mouth (south direction) – It liberates from crises and fear. The Narsingh form is considered to be the destroyer of evil powers.
- Hole -This mouth is helpful in fulfilling the wishes and the attainment of strength.
