Hearing on Gyanvapi Mosque was held in the Supreme Court today. In which a notice has been issued to the Muslim Committee on the application of the Hindu side. The mosque committee has been asked to reply within two weeks. The Hindu side claimed that till 1993, people of the Hindu community used to pray in the sealed area. At the same time, the Muslim community is considering the sealed area as a threat.

Importantly, the Supreme Court has sought response from the Gyanvapi Masjid Management Committee on the application of the Hindu side to conduct an ASI survey of the “Vazukhana” area sealed by the Supreme Court inside the mosque. Earlier, when ASI survey was conducted, a Shivalinga was found which the Muslim side is calling a fountain. Now further hearing in this case will be held on December 17.
What did the Hindu side claim?
The Supreme Court has issued notice to the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) and the Mosque Management Committee in the Gyanvapi case. The Supreme Court has given this order on the petition of Hindu petitioners. He has asked ASI to survey the ‘Vazukhana’ area of Gyanvapi Mosque. The Hindu side says that Shivlinga was found during a videography survey in the premises of Gyanvapi Mosque.
