Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The Indian Railways has announced major changes in train schedules for several routes passing through Indore and Ratlam divisions. These changes include temporary cancellations, rescheduled departures, and route diversions.

The schedule released by the Railways highlights modifications for several trains, including the Kamakhya Express, which runs from Guwahati to Indore.

Route Diversions and Cancellations

The Kamakhya Express will be rerouted between March 23 and April 27, bypassing Varanasi and instead traveling via Prayagraj, Rambagh-Prayagraj, and Kanpur Central. However, no changes have been made to trains originating from Indore, as the maintenance work will be carried out on the up-line of the bridge. In the Ratlam division, four trains have been canceled, one train has been rescheduled, and nine trains will run on altered routes.

List of Canceled and Rescheduled Trains

Among the trains canceled between March 21 and April 28 are the Gandhi Dham-Bhagalpur Special, Bhagalpur-Gandhi Dham Special, Ahmedabad-Darbhanga Clone Special, and Darbhanga-Ahmedabad Clone Special. Additionally, the Gorakhpur-Bandra Terminus Special will be rescheduled to depart two hours late between March 21 and April 25.

Trains with Route Diversions

Several long-distance trains, including the Gorakhpur-Bandra Antyodaya Express, Bandra-Lucknow Express, and Muzaffarpur-Surat Express, will take alternative routes, skipping stations like Farrukhabad, Kanpur Central, and Lucknow. The Udaipur-Patliputra Humsafar Express and Gorakhpur-Okha Express are also among those affected.
