According to eyewitnesses, Jord.an police cordoned off the area around the Israeli embassy in the capital Amman after hearing gunshots. After hearing the gunshots, police and ambulance reached Rabia area, where the embassy is located. Police have asked locals to stay in their homes while security personnel search for the criminals. The area near the embassy, where there is heavy police presence.
