Ghatampur: In a shocking incident, YouTuber Seeta Meena was allegedly attacked during a late-night robbery at her residence near the Kanpur-Sagar Highway in Ghatampur’s Ashok Nagar. The robbers, reportedly armed, broke into the house and physically assaulted her before fleeing with cash and jewellery.
Husband Accuses Police of Suppressing Case
In a video shared on Instagram, Seeta’s husband Manoj Sachan alleged that the police were trying to downplay the incident. “Humare ghar mein lootpaat ho gayi. Apki YouTuber Seeta Sachan pe hamla kiya gaya hai, katte ki butt mari gayi hai” (There was a robbery at our home. My wife, a YouTuber, was attacked and hit with the butt of a gun).
He claimed that one accused admitted to having four accomplices, but this was not being acknowledged by the authorities. “Ek aaropi pakda gaya hai, usne kabool kiya hai ki chaar aur log the, lekin police chhupa rahi hai” (One accused has been arrested and confessed there were four more, but police are hiding this).
Sachan further alleged possible bribery, saying, “Shayad police ko moti rakam mili hai” (Maybe the police have been paid off). He warned that if no action is taken, they would be forced to act on their own. “Agar police kuch nahi karti hai toh hum apne hisaab se karwai karenge” (If the police don’t act, we’ll take action ourselves).
Seeta Meena Appeals for Support
In another emotional video, Seeta called for public support and said she would visit the police station the next morning. “Main Ghatampur ke thane kal subah 11 baje jaungi. Aap log agar mere support mein hain toh wahan aa jayein” (I will go to Ghatampur police station at 11:00 AM tomorrow. If you support me, please come).
She also alleged betrayal by her own team, stating, “Meri team ne hi mujhe dhokha diya… madad maangi toh bola ki hum ghar nahi aa sakte” (My own team betrayed me… when I asked for help, they said they couldn’t come to my house).
Kanpur Police responded to the incident on X, and wrote, “In this case, on the basis of the complaint received at the Ghatampur police station, a case has been registered under relevant sections and legal action is being taken as per rules.”
