A painful incident has come to light in Sisai police station area of Gumla district of Jharkhand. A 10-year-old student was strangled to death on Saturday night. The killer threw the body of the student near the door of her house. On the complaint of the girl’s mother, the police have detained her cousin Philemon Ekka. There is also a suspicion that the girl was raped before murder.

Police have recovered the girl’s hair pin, slippers, and a rope from the house of accused Philemon. All this evidence was found near his bed. Police believe that the girl was murdered to hide her identity.
How did the incident happen?
According to the FIR, Philemon is an alcoholic who had already beaten his wife and children and thrown them out of the house. On the day of the incident, he gave money to the girl and asked her to buy a cold drink and take him home. The girl went to buy a cold drink, but did not return. His body was found near the door of the house at 8:30 pm.
Post mortem and investigation
The post-mortem of the girl’s body was done at Gumla Sadar Hospital. Also, Bisra has been sent to RIMS, Ranchi for forensic investigation. The police are thoroughly interrogating the accused.
Palamu: Woman shot dead, old dispute said to be the reason
A woman was shot dead in Hussainabad of Palamu district on Sunday evening. The incident took place near Harihar Chowk, where 25-year-old Pooja Devi was shot on the temple by bike-borne criminals.
What is the matter?
Pooja Devi was a resident of Nartaki locality. At the time of the incident, she was standing near Harihar Chowk for some work. Then two criminals riding a bike came, shot him and ran away. Pooja Devi was immediately taken to the hospital, where doctors declared her dead.

Police have identified the criminals by examining the CCTV footage of the incident site. By late evening, news of his arrest also came to light.

After the murder, angry people blocked the Japla-Dangwar main road. SDPO S. Mohammad Yakub said that the criminals have been identified and the raid is going on. Old dispute is being said to be the reason behind the incident.
