IMD health warning
The Meteorological Department said that the state can run in Banaskantha, Gandhinagar, Ahmedabad, Surat, Surendranagar, Rajkot, Porbandar, Junagadh, Morbi, Amreli, Gir-Somnath, Kutch and Diu till March 13. Along with this, IMD said that due to rising temperatures in the state, people may have to face diseases related to heat. The department said that rising temperatures could affect the health of infants, the elderly, long -term people, people living in the sun and heavy working people.
In such a situation, the department has advised people to avoid the heat – stay cool, drink plenty of water – even if you do not feel thirsty, and always keep yourself hydrated. For this, eat cold beverages like homemade lassi, rice water, lemonade and buttermilk.
How much did the temperature of cities reach?
The department said that on Monday, the temperature in Rajkot, Surat, Surendranagar and Bhuj was recorded at more than 40 degrees, due to which these cities had scorching heat. At the same time, Ahmedabad recorded a temperature of 40.4 degrees, which was 4.5 degrees above normal.
Lu warning in these districts
According to the department, yellow alert has been issued on March 11 due to heat stroke in Amreli, Junagadh, Porbandar, Rajkot, Morbi, Surendranagar, Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Banaskantha and Surat. Apart from this, hot and humid winds can be blowing in Valsad, Navsari, Bhavnagar, Bharuch, Anand, Gir Somnath, Jamnagar, Devbhoomi Dwarka.
At the same time, yellow alert has been issued in Kachch, Banaskantha, Surendranagar and Rajkot due to the heat stroke on 12 March. Apart from this, Morbi, Jamnagar, Devbhoomi Dwarka, Porbandar, Junagadh, Amreli, Gir Somnath, Bhavnagar, Ahmedabad, Anand, Bharuch, Surat, Navsari, Valsad can cause hot and humid winds.
