Gujarat Family Heading To Omkareshwar Robbed After Car Breaks Down At Midnight On Indore-Ahmedabad Highway | Machhalia Ghat

Indore (Madhya Pradesh): A family on its way to Omkareshwar from Junagadh in Gujarat was robbed at Machhalia Ghat on Indore-Ahmedabad four lane on Wednesday midnight at 1:30 am.

According to the information, Mukesh, a resident of Keshod in Gujarat, was travelling in a SUV with his wife Ramaben, daughters Sonal, Dharmishtha and son-in-law Vivek, Keyur along with 3 children. The car reportedly collided with a stone lying on the road on a bridge of Machhalia Ghat. Due to the collision, the car’s engine oil started leaking.

Jewellery and 35 thousand rupees snatched from women

Just after the car’s break down, 6 miscreants appeared out of the bushes. They snatched Dharmishtha’s gold chain, earrings, ring and 35 thousand rupees kept in her purse. The miscreants also snatched two gold bracelets and earrings from Ramaben’s hand.

While snatching the jewellery, the mother and daughter got injured in the neck. They also took away 5 bags kept in the car along with Mukesh’s mobile.

They had knives in their hands during the robbery. While snatching the jewellery, Ramaben got injured in the ear and Dharmishtha got injured in the neck. The miscreants carried out the crime in 20 minutes.

Team formed to catch the miscreants

After the incident, the family informed Dial 100, after which Sardarpur SDOP Vishwadeep Singh Parihar and TI Deepak Singh Chauhan reached the spot with the police force.

Rajgarh police station has registered a case. TI Deepak Singh Chauhan said that a team has been formed to arrest the miscreants.
