Guilan Barre syndrome (GBS) is an infectious neurological disease, which is spreading rapidly in Pune. More than 100 cases of this disease have been reported. GBS is a neurological disorder, in which the person’s immune system attacks his own nervous system. It has usually been associated with bacterial infection, especially with Campilobacter Jejuni. Experts say that people do not need to be afraid of it, as it is not an infectious disease. However, if symptoms appear, it is necessary to get treatment immediately.
What things should be avoided to prevent GBS
Dr. Priyanka Sehrawat, an expert at MD Medicine DM Neurology at AIIMS, Delhi, has advised to avoid some foods to avoid GBS. According to him:
- Food outside: Avoid outside food completely. Especially reduce the intake of cheese, cheese, and rice, as bacteria can grow rapidly.
- Preparation for food: It is necessary to wash and cook food items like rice, cheese and cheese before eating.
- Contaminated foods and water: Eat contaminated and avoid water.
Keep these things in mind
- Cooking the food properly: Make sure the food items are cooked at a temperature of at least 165 degrees Fahrenheit, so that harmful bacteria are eliminated.
- Cleaning of hands: Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water before and after touching poultry and dairy products.
- Use of different utensils: Use different cutting boards and utensils for raw meat and other food items, so that bacteria can be prevented from spreading.
- Use of Westernized Products: Without Westernized Milk and Dairy Products should be avoided.
By adopting these precautions, you can avoid problems like GBS and strengthen your immunity.
