Grenade Attack in Amritsar: A grenade attack took place late Friday night near Thakurdwara Temple in Khandwala area of ​​Amritsar, Punjab. Two unidentified youth riding a bike threw explosive material outside the temple, leading to a big attack. There were no casualties in the attack, but temple walls, doors and glass were badly damaged. After the incident, the police immediately reached the spot and started investigation and cleaned the temple premises.

One of them threw the grenade and then both fled. The police have started trying to identify the attackers based on the footage. Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has reacted strongly to this attack. He said that ‘some anti -social elements are trying to spread unrest in Punjab but their conspiracy will not be successful. Mann said, “We are fully committed to maintain peace in the state.” This attempt to destabilize Punjab is not new. He said, “The incidents of drugs, gangsters and forced recovery creates such an atmosphere that it seems that there is unrest in Punjab, but our government is taking strict action against such elements.”

This attack on the temple has raised serious questions on the security situation in the entire Punjab including Amritsar. Murari Lal Sharma, priest of Thakurdwara temple, told the media that after hearing the sound of the blast, I immediately went out and saw that the windows and doors of the temple were damaged. Expressing concern over the increasing attacks in the state, Sant Mahamandaleshwar Ashnil Ji Maharaj said, “The government and the police will have to take strict action so that such incidents can be stopped.”

 

The Chief Minister said that ‘Punjab Police is completely cautious and action is being taken to catch the culprits soon’. BSF is also continuously reporting and strict campaign is being carried out against drug addiction. Our police is equipped with high -tech equipment and is fully prepared to thwart such attacks. Pakistan wants to spread unrest in Punjab but we will maintain our brotherhood and peace.

Punjab Minister Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal said, ‘Some miscreants threw grenade at the temple after 12 pm. There is no injury or death in it and the situation is under control. Two injured people have been identified. The police is working on the case, they will be arrested in a day.

Amritsar Commissioner GPS Bhullar said, ‘We got information at 2 am. We immediately reached the spot. The forensic team was called. We investigated CCTV and talked to the people around. The thing is that Pakistan’s ISI is encouraging our youth to spread unrest in Punjab. We will report the matter within a few days and take appropriate action. I warn the youth not to ruin their lives. We will catch criminals soon. ‘

On the Amritsar temple attack, BJP spokesperson Shahzad Poonawala said, ‘Ever since the Aam Aadmi Party government has come to power. The situation of law and order has deteriorated significantly. All these grenade attacks take place simultaneously, some of which have also taken place at police stations, while the police was busy with Arvind Kejriwal’s protection.
