Madhya Pradesh: Government Agencies Can Do Investment Outside Planning Area | FP Photo

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): A bill related to Town and Country Planning Act was approved by the cabinet on Tuesday. According to it, apart from Development Authority and SADA (Special Area Development Authority), other development agencies of the government such as Road Development Corporation could do investment in projects outside the planning area.

The cost of such project shall not be less than Rs 500 crore. The bill will be tabled in the upcoming budget session of the assembly for approval. As far as investment proposals received in GIS is concerned, Principal Secretaries of departments will review them every week and Chief Secretary will review them every month. The aim is to realise investment proposals.

Jai Ganga Jal Samvardhan

Abhiyan To conserve water bodies of the state, ‘Jai Ganga Jal Samvardhan Abhiyan’ will begin in the state from March 30 onwards. It will continue till June 30.

Poshan Bhi Padhai Bhi

The cabinet sanctioned Rs 30.56 crore for ‘Poshan Bhi Padhai Bhi’ training programme under Poshan 2.0 scheme of Anganwadi’s. It covers first one thousand days of childhood stage. The aim of the programme is to promote Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) for children in the age category of three to six years, to develop understanding among Anganwadi workers towards ECCE and basic education, to provide play-based higher education etc.

Bonus on wheat increased to Rs 175

The cabinet decided to increase the bonus amount of wheat. In place of Rs 125 bonus, now bonus of Rs 175 will be given on MSP of Rs 2,425 per quintal wheat. In crux, wheat will be purchased at the rate of Rs 2,600 per quintal. The government also decided to give incentive of Rs 4k per hectare to paddy farmers. It will be given to farmers who sold paddy in last kharif season. The incentive will be given to 6.70 lakh paddy farmers and Rs 480 crore will be spent in this regard. Meanwhile, land records of farmers will be digitised and Rs 138.41 crore will be spent in this regard. The cabinet approved amendment in organisational structure of MP Power Transmission Company. Nod was provided for creation of 1,431 posts in the company. Services of contractual workers will be continued.

Govt To Give Rs 3K To PESA Gram Panchayats; Bhagoria to be Celebrated At State-Level

Chief Minister Mohan Yadav announced that the state government will give Rs 3k to all PESA Gram Panchayats for conservation of tribal worship places, the symbols of tribal deities and tribal worship practices. He was addressing Jan Jatiya Dev Lok programme held at the premises of CM House on Tuesday.

He said that Rs 5k will be given to every tribal dancer and artistes who came to participate in the programme. He stated that the state government will celebrate Bhagoria dance of tribals in the form of festival at state-level. The tradition will begin from this year itself and he will participate in it.

Remembering the contribution of tribals in the freedom struggle and their rich traditions, he said that more than 2.5 lakh ‘Forest Right Letters’ have been distributed to tribals. The government will supply Narmada water to every tribal home.

Union Minister of State for tribal affairs Durgadas Uikey said that tribals sacrificed their lives to secure freedom of the country. He said the programme organised at CM House will prove to be a milestone. Tribal religious leaders were felicitated during the programme. Tribal Minister Kunwar Vijay Shah was also present.
