Good news for employees. Each working employee waits for his weekly holiday. Many employees get one day leave, some for two days. Even if the holidays are one or two weeks, you never know when they will end. This is not enough to relax a person. In such a situation, Japan, which was known for its strict working style and overtime, is now going to make a big change. The Tokyo Metropolitan government has decided to implement the 4-day work week for its employees. This means that now government employees will work only 4 days a week and will rest for 3 days or you can say that Japan also wants to join countries which are at the top of the list of happiest countries.

This is why Japan decided

Let us tell you that the Tokyo Metropolitan government has taken this decision keeping in mind the declining birth rate of the country, so that the population here can increase. Japan will implement a four -day work week for government employees from this month. Tokyo Governor Yuriko Koek said that this initiative will help women to balance between career and family. With this scheme, employees will get an additional day leave per week, so that they will be able to fulfill their personal and family responsibilities better.

Iceland used 4-day work week from 2015-2019. In 2022, Belgium will legally become the first country in Europe to apply a 4-day work week. Employees here can complete their 40 -hour weekly duty in 4 days, that too without any salary deduction. Additionally, “the right to disconnect” was also implemented, so that employees of large organizations are not forced to respond to emails or messages after office time. In Germany, the same format applies in 73% of companies. In addition, Denmark is already one of the happiest countries in the world. Here the work-life balance is given top priority. Many organizations adopt 30-35 hours of work, which gives people enough time for family, health and personal time.
