There is good news for farmers! The government has tightened up to ensure that the benefit of the central government’s ambitious Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) scheme will now reach every eligible farmer. If you are also a farmer and have not been able to take advantage of this scheme yet, then this is a golden opportunity for you.

What is the new plan of the government?

The Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare has launched a special initiative, which has been named ‘National Saturation Drive’. The campaign will run till May 31, 2025. This simply means that the government wants to make sure that no qualified farmer should be deprived of the financial help of this scheme annually. Under this campaign, every eligible farmer will be linked to the PM-Kisan Yojana.

PM-Kisan Yojana: At a glance

Remind you that under this scheme started in 2019, the government sends farmers directly to their bank accounts by paying Rs 2,000-2,000 in three equal installments a year. This money helps farmers a lot in crop and small expenses of the house. So far, crores of farmers of the country have taken advantage of this.

  • Previous installments: It is being told that the 19th installment was released in February 2025, which benefited 9.8 crore farmers, including 2.4 crore women. (Note: The original article written the 19th installment “released on 24 February 2025”, which is the future date. It should be understood as “expected to be released” or “will be released”.) Earlier the 18th installment was estimated to be released in October 2024 and 17th June 2024.

  • The upcoming 20th installment: It is expected that in the 20th installment ₹ 2,000 June 2025, farmers can enter the accounts, which will be a major economic relief for them.

These 3 tasks are very important to get 20th installment:

If you want the next i.e. 20th installment of the PM-Kisan Yojana to come to your account without any hindrance, then complete these three tasks immediately:

  1. Get EKYC completed: This is most important so that the money reaches the right person.

  2. Link Aadhaar to bank account: This is mandatory for direct benefit transfer.

  3. Get the land records confirmed: This will ensure your eligibility.

If these works are not completed, then there may be difficulty in getting the next installment.

Government’s appeal and preparation

The PM-Kisan’s official Twitter Handle (@PMKISANOFCIAL) has also appealed to the farmers to go to their nearest Common Service Center (CSC) and complete all these procedures as soon as possible. Also, at the state level, officials have also been instructed to do the work of verification of farmers in the villages so that financial assistance can be provided on time. The government resolve that no eligible farmer should be released from the benefit of this scheme.
