A new bypass will be built at a cost of Rs 56.34 crore to deal with the problem of traffic jam in Gonda district of Uttar Pradesh. An amount of Rs 19.72 crore has been released as the first installment for the construction of this 11.6 km long bypass, which will soon start work.
Bypass proposed route
This bypass will start from Gonda-Balrampur highway near Pandri Kripal village and end near Umaidjot village on Gonda-Ayodhya road. This bypass will also be connected by Gonda-Uratulah route.
Villages will get better connectivity
The way to the bypass will pass through villages like Pandri Kripal, Kanderateji, Turkadiha, Dhanauli, Soni Harlal, and Bahlolpur, which will make the movement easier for the people of these rural areas.
Land acquisition process
About 1.9 hectares of land will be acquired for this project, including land of about 70 farmers. The acquisition process will cost around Rs 6.90 crore.
Road design
This bypass will be 10.5 meters wide and will be larger than two lanes. Most of the construction work will be done by widening and strengthening the tracks of the Saryu Canal. For this, no objection has been sought from the irrigation department.
Relief to devotees and city dwellers
The construction of this bypass will help the devotees going to Devipatan Shaktipeeth and Ayodhya to reach their destination easily without being stuck in traffic jams. The people of Gonda city will also get a big relief from the problem of traffic jam. The movement of heavy vehicles from outside the city will be from this bypass, which will reduce traffic pressure inside the city.
Administrative acceptance
Following the continuous efforts of public representatives and officials, the project has been approved by the government. The administration is committed to completing the construction process rapidly.
