Ashok Kumar Misra, General Manager of Western Railway released the Wall Calendar & Table Calendar of Western Railway alongwith Prakash Butani – Additional General Manager of WR, in the presence of all Principal Head of Departments and senior officers of WR.
Western Railway’s Wall Calendar as well as Table Calendar for the year 2025 is based on the glorious heritage of Western Railway. The Wall Calendar showcases an array of unique heritage photographs depicting the rich and diverse history of Western Railway, be it the magnificent edifice of the Western Railway Headquarters at Churchgate, Mumbai in black and white, or the rare photograph of the Frontier Mail (presently Golden Temple Mail) chugging through Ballard Pier station.
The Table Calendar for the year 2025 was prepared on the theme of ‘Art Confluence of the Glorious Past of Western Railway’. The calendar includes paintings created by railway employees, their families and students of Sir JJ School of Art, which showcase the grandeur and heritage of the building in the art competitions organized to celebrate 125 years of Churchgate Headquarters. This calendar is a glimpse of the past, which symbolizes the glorious journey of Western Railway.
