Russian energy and oil major Rosneft has inducted Govind Kottai Satish, former director of Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), on its board. He is the first Indian to be appointed to this position in a Russian company. The Russian company has indicated to strengthen business relations with India through this appointment.
Govind Kottai Satish inducted into the 11-member board of directors
Rosneft announced in a statement that Govind Kottai Satish has been inducted into its 11-member board of directors. Two other directors were also appointed along with him. Satish is the first Indian to join the board of directors of this Russian company. He retires in 2021 as Director (Business Development) of public sector petroleum company IOC. Rosneft and IOC have certain agreements in the oil and gas sector. Apart from IOC, it also sells crude oil to some other Indian comp.es.
Who is Govind Kottai Satish?
According to a report, Satish completed his Mech.cal Engineering studies from NIT Surat. He completed his post graduation from MDI, Gurugram. He has vast experience in marketing, operations, logistics and business development. He has become one of the 5 independent directors on the board of Rosneft.
