Lucknow, 02 December (HS). A girl has accused eight people of gang rape in PGI police station area. After the statement of the girl, an FIR has been registered against eight unknown people in the police station. Policemen are examining CCTV footage at the kidnapping site.
Inspector of PGI police station Ravi Shankar Tripathi told on Monday that Lucknow Police is completely alert regarding the increasing cases of atrocities on women at present. On the complaint of the girl resident of Krishnanagar, an FIR was immediately registered and two teams from the police station and the local police post were deployed on the spot.
According to the girl, she went out of a restaurant with her friends and later started waiting for the cab. Then eight people who came in two vehicles kidnapped him. They took her to some far away place and raped her one by one. After committing the incident, all the accused ran away leaving him in Telibagh area. The police station in-charge said that the police is seriously engaged in the case and will arrest the accused soon.
