The visuals, now circulating widely, sparked outrage among locals, with residents questioning how such violence could take place in a residential colony.

“This picture #Ghaziabad is from Loni Border Police Station area. The way people are forcibly entering the house and assaulting each other is no less than mob lynching. This act has come to light when the dispute escalated over protesting against the sound of firecrackers being produced from the silencer of a Bullet bike,” a user claiming to be a local of the area wrote on X.

Deputy Police Commissioner (Rural) Issues Statement

According to the police, the incident took place on February 25 in Street No 14 of Lakshmi Nagar, Loni Border. Police clarified that it was a case of a family dispute, not related to firecracker sounds from a bike. As per the report, a man named Irshad complained about a fight in the street, during which his cousin Saad and some others allegedly entered his house and assaulted him over an old financial dispute.

Both sides sustained injuries, and a case has been registered under relevant sections. A detailed investigation has been ordered. As per reports, 4 individuals have been arrested in the matter.
